It looks like winter is here for good (or at least until March). Colorado received a tremendous kick from Old Man Winter in the past couple of weeks. Area ski resorts (Breck, Keystone, Copper, A-Basin, and Vail) have an average 30" base with new snow at around 1-2" in the last 24 hours. The skies are open today and the sun is getting bounced all over the state by the new snowfall. It's a funny thing that in the midst of a snowfall it can seem like it will never stop. Driving can be difficult, activity settles down, and the skies get a lot smaller. But, the very next day we get reintroduced to our mountain views, blue skies, and plenty of sun. The weather cycles in Colorado can't be beat. You get your dowsing of fresh snow and then the sun comes along so you can play all day. So, all those worrying about a compromised snow season can rest easy. We have a long fun season ahead!
